💵 Wellness Pays: Up to $150 Per Person

Whether you're booking back-to-school physicals or finally getting that checkup on your own calendar, late summer is a great time to take care of routine care. And if you're enrolled in Milan's Accident or Critical Illness coverage through Symetra, that care can also earn you cash.

Earn $75 per covered person, per plan each year for completing a qualifying screening, like:
    🩺 Annual physicals
💉 Mammograms or routine blood work
👶 Well-child visits and kids' vaccinations

Enrolled in both plans? You could earn up to $150 per person, dependents included.

💡 Pro tip: Already had a checkup this year? File your claim and get paid.

Not enrolled in either plan? Your next chance is during Open Enrollment, or sooner if you experience a Qualifying Life Event. In the meantime, preventive care is typically covered at $0 under our medical plan — a good reason to lock in August appointments before fall fills up.

    Small step, real reward. ✨

If you’re not sure whether your situation qualifies or you’re stuck along the way, your HR team has your back. Just submit an HR Helpdesk ticket, and we’ll help you navigate it.

    💪 Move More, Feel Better

Summer means more movement — chasing kids, walking the dog, gardening, hiking, or just keeping up with yourself. Feeling good in your body makes the whole season more fun.

If aches or old injuries are getting in the way, Hinge Health offers free virtual care from a physical therapist and health coach — included in Milan’s BCBSNE medical plan for employees and covered dependents age 18 and older. Plus perks for active members.

Not enrolled in our medical plan? Everyday movement still matters:

🚶 Take a quick walking break

🧘 Stretch between appointments and meetings

💧 Hydrate — joints and muscles need water

🪑 Align your screen, hips, and feet

Small movements add up to a big difference. ✨

    ✨ Mid-Year Check-In: Pause, Reset & Refocus

June is a great time to take a step back and see how the year is going. As the halfway point approaches, it’s a chance to reset your priorities, refresh your routines, and refocus on what matters most.

Pause and realign to move through the rest of the year with intention:

    ✅simplify your to-do list

    🏆revisit your goals

🧹making space to clear mental clutter

Make preventive care a priority. 🫀 If you’ve been putting off a checkup, eye exam, or dental cleaning, now is a great time to get it on your calendar. Small steps today can make a big impact on your long-term health.

A little attention to the important details now can go a long way later. ✨

🎉 What’s a Qualifying Life Event (QLE)… and why should you care?

Weddings, babies, and big changes happen. If life hands you a plot twist, your benefits shouldn’t stay stuck in last season. 👠.

Because of IRS rules, benefit elections are normally locked in until the next annual Open Enrollment. A Qualifying Life Event (QLE) allows you to update your benefits outside of Open Enrollment.

✨ Big life change = opportunity to adjust your coverage

    Common Qualifying Life Events include:

    • 💍 Marriage or divorce

    • 👶 Birth or adoption of a child

    • 🎂 Turning age 26

    • 💔 Death of a spouse or child

    • 🏥 Losing or gaining coverage under a spouse’s plan

    • 🏛 Losing or gaining coverage through Medicaid or CHIP

    ⏰ Timing matters!

The clock starts ticking the day your life event happens (yep—even newborns count!). You have 30 days to submit your changes. Since documentation needs to be reviewed before updates are approved, it’s best to act quickly. Miss the 30-day window? You’ll have to wait until the next Open Enrollment to make updates.

🖥 How to submit your QLE in Paycom

Getting started is quick and easy:

    1. Go to Paycom → Benefits Tile → Qualifying Events

    2. Click Add Qualifying Event

    3. Enter the Event Date

    4. Select the Event Type

    5. Upload documentation (Examples: marriage certificate, birth announcement, divorce decree, insurance letter, screenshots, etc.)

    • Don't have the documentation yet? Submit the life event anyway. The Benefits Support Team will work with you to determine what is acceptable.

Once submitted, the Benefits Support Team will review your request and guide you through next steps.
